I did buy a Ginger Snap doll and a Strawberry Shortcake and Apple Dumplin set for her more recently. They were the dolls that were the same size as the vintage ones, but with skinnier arms.

My mom bought my daughter a SS doll that came out a few years ago. It was a taller version (more like a teenager) and came with a car.

Now they have those tiny dolls in stores... but I prefer the vintage ones (or at least the vintage sized ones).Chelseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04206643310723527648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1465867677762395374.post-59774132822299672952011-01-29T12:51:03.051-05:002011-01-29T12:51:03.051-05:00we stumbled upon your site looking for a Strawberr...we stumbled upon your site looking for a Strawberry Shortcake picture for my husband to model a pinata after. Our daughter will be 3 in a weekish and we're having a Strawberry Shortcake party. Last fall, while on vacation, we got a couple of little dolls from McDonalds and she's rather enamored with them. I had one doll growing up, Apricot something, and we still have her but she's been thrown in with my old Ponies. I wish I had had more!Sarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13813860705115873491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1465867677762395374.post-31384317366697257602011-01-12T15:19:52.976-05:002011-01-12T15:19:52.976-05:00That's so cool that you found some of your old...That's so cool that you found some of your old stuff. I saved a lot of my things when I was a kid & I gave them to my daughter. I think Strawberry shortcake looks much better these days than she use to. haha. The Rantings of a Drama Queen's Mumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15779628159935114606noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1465867677762395374.post-24179021020308889122011-01-12T13:30:08.399-05:002011-01-12T13:30:08.399-05:00When our oldest girls were small, this was the rag...When our oldest girls were small, this was the rage. I keep most of the dolls, but I wish that I would have kept the little houses. I shared them with nieces and of course didn't think to get them back. I must say though, I think the original ones were better made.Sherreehttp://chmitlinfamily.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1465867677762395374.post-72960204984057195452011-01-12T07:23:50.172-05:002011-01-12T07:23:50.172-05:00I'll definitely be posting about it when the p...I'll definitely be posting about it when the process is complete!Heather @ Raising Memories Bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05196945014117018777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1465867677762395374.post-76011112590373187532011-01-12T01:56:20.423-05:002011-01-12T01:56:20.423-05:00Would love to hear how you restore them.
