Last summer, I bought a 10-pack of small rectangular containers with lids from the dollar store. They would be perfect for this, so hopefully they still carry them. It would avoid having to mess with the glue...you could just number the lids, though admittedly poking your finger through the tissue does sound like fun. I'm thinking that instead of the name, we could place a scripture reading to read together in order to keep the focus on the reason for Advent. My kids brought home the mother lode of Halloween candy this year and still have tons left over, so this is the perfect use for it. They are going to love this...thanks!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1465867677762395374.post-41308385571262762692009-11-16T22:27:06.612-05:002009-11-16T22:27:06.612-05:00What a beautiful idea. I won't be posting pictures because mine didn't exactly end up looking like yours >:-/ What kind of glue did you use to adhere the tissue? And how did you make them look so perfect? The fact that I had two 10-year-old "helpers" on top of my own kids probably didn't help matters any :)They'll be tasty nonetheless! Thanks for the inspiration!Taminoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1465867677762395374.post-56650200838603965002009-11-19T22:30:14.676-05:002009-11-19T22:30:14.676-05:00I used wet white glue (whatever that's really ...I used wet white glue (whatever that's really called) that I got at the dollar store. I actually just went to Michaels today looking for favor tins and they didn't have any so I bought favor boxes but now seeing this I may switch again and use the plastic shot glasses I have left over from my sister's wedding.
