Willa and the Whale (& Giveaway)

It's time for another book review by Katrina! She recently read Willa and the Whale by Chad Morris and Shelly Brown and once again, we'll share the book with you from her perspective!

In this post, she'll share a brief summary of the story, what she liked about it, and where you can get the book if you (or your child) would like to read it, and a chance for one of you to win a copy!

The Story According to Katrina (No Spoilers!)

Moving back in with her father and new stepmom after her mother’s death has been hard for Willa. Trying to continue what she and her mom used to do, Willa’s dad brings Willa on a whale watch.

After seeing the magnificent performance of a humpback whale, the other passengers travel to the other side of the boat. However, Willa notices the humpback watching the boat. She begins to talk to the whale, thanking it. Surprisingly, the whale spoke back!

Willa didn’t know it yet, but she really needed a companion while trying to strengthen her relationship with an old friend, preparing for a debate war against her new enemy, and dealing with a disaster on the beach! But she learns that teamwork will fix any problem and needs all the help she can get (maybe even some from an enemy!).

Katrina's Recommendation

I really liked this book because it expresses her feelings of being hurt and it really helps me understand that some people have hard times and need someone to look out for them. She also shared many facts about sea life animals that I found quite interesting. Also it reminded me that teamwork is so important; if the size of importance showed, it would be as big as a blue whale!

I know that many of my friends would enjoy this book as much as I do! I would 100% recommend this book for my besties!
