The Smell of Spring

As a Lysol Healthy Families Ambassador, I was given some Lysol Fabric Mist to try.

I've never bought a fabric spray like this before- I guess we're not a very stinky household? ...no hockey gear, no pets, no smoking... but, I did find some uses for it!

I'm going to share 2 with you- one you may find useful, and one you may have to use your creativity to apply to your life ;)

First, when I was cleaning out & vacuuming our car when Spring hit, I thought our car had a musty smell inside, so I sprayed the fabric refresher all over our (fabric) seats. It worked! No more musty-ness!

The second (somewhat unusual) way that I used it was when we had a youth activity at our church. (I'm a youth leader now, so I was involved with the set up for their activity). The youth were given a bunch of random supplies and were set free to design an indoor mini golf course. They did this a couple of nights before they would be hosting a mini golfing activity with other youth groups.

One of the supplies used was an old hose that happened to have some water left inside of it (that smelled nasty!!!). We discovered the smell quickly after the hose was cut for this little creation:

I sent my sister-in-law (another youth leader) back to the church with the fabric spray before the 2nd activity(The spray is meant to do more than cover smells- it actually kills bacteria on fabrics that you can't wash, eliminating the root cause of odours).
(Thanks for taking these photos of the fabric mist at work, Betsy! :)

I wasn't there when she used it, but I will tell you that when I left the church building the night of the water spill, it smelled terrible in & around that room! When I went back a few days later there was NO smell. And Betsy said the spray smelled really good after she used it :)

Have you ever used a fabric spray?
What do you use it for?
