Logan and Cove Review

It's time for our Logan and Cove review, unboxing, and a giveaway!

I have partnered with GoodMorning.com and was provided with a mattress and pillows in exchange for my thoughts. All opinions shared are my own. Affiliate links are provided should you decide to purchase GoodMorning.com products from my Logan and Cove mattress review.

If you're a regular reader of my blog you know that we recently lost our mattress to smoke damage. We were so sad to lose our Douglas mattress because we really loved it and had only had it for just over a year!

When I started looking for a new mattress I found out that GoodMorning.com (who made our Douglas mattress) is making a new mattress called the Logan & Cove. I'm excited to be teaming up with GoodMorning.com again to share some details about their new mattress and to offer a giveaway so that one of you can win one of your own!

The Logan & Cove mattress comes delivered to your door in a box, but this box is a little bigger than the Douglas box because the Logan & Cove isn't just a foam mattress- it has coils! Call me a furniture nerd if you like, but I used to work at our family furniture store, and I remember how cool pocketed coils are, with their motion isolating magic, so I was excited when I heard that this mattress comes with pocketed coils and a cushioned pillow-top!

Logan & Cove Unboxing

Unpacking a bed-in-a-box is a fascinating experience, so we knew we wanted to take a video of the process. This one was a little more difficult than the Douglas because of its weight & size (see above photo to compare the size of the box to the size of Talia) but definitely do-able, and no problem when you've got two people doing it together. If you'd like to take a look, here it is:

It's amazing how compact they can get a mattress and how quickly it bounces back to its soft, cushion-y glory! This mattress has a definite luxurious look with its soft, quilted ticking (that's furniture speak for the mattress covering) and handles sewn onto the sides of it.

Douglas vs. Logan & Cove Mattress Review

This mattress is definitely taller than the Douglas (I looked back at photos from my previous post and could see the difference in the overlap of our foot board). I think it's also more firm than the Douglas. I'm interested to see if it gets softer over time (which I wouldn't mind). My husband is thrilled with how firm it is and although I wouldn't mind a little more softness (I like the cuddling-up-on-a-cloud feeling), I'm not bothered by the firmness- I'm totally comfortable on the Logan & Cove.

Logan and Cove Luxury Firm

The Logan and Cove mattress was launched as the Logan and Cove Luxury Firm and then, based on feedback, they later released the Logan and Cove Medium Plush option. The mattress I'm reviewing in this post is the Luxury Firm option.

Scroll down to the bottom of this post for information about a simple quiz you can take on their website to help you determine which firmness would be best for you!

120 Night Trial

If you're considering the Logan & Cove, but worried about not being able to "try before you buy", you can put your mind at ease because it comes with a 120-night sleep trial. If you're not happy with it, you can return it with no questions asked, at no additional cost, with a full refund.

Our Story

We were so sad to have to throw out our lovely Douglas Mattress after all of the smoke damage in our home! When we moved back into our house, we were borrowing an old double mattress, which we put on the floor of our empty bedroom, with an old picnic quilt for a comforter (we had our bedding at a dry-cleaner, to see if they could get the smoke smell out of it).

We were excited to get a new mattress, just in time for our big move! We unboxed it back in Canada and slept on it, on the floor, until we were ready to move. It's so nice to have our own bedroom furniture back and to have our new mattress on it, in our new bedroom! It had been over 2 months since we slept in a bed that felt like our own. Our new bedroom is such a haven and our new mattress is a major part of that!

  1. I cannot believe that beautiful mattress fit into that tiny delivery box!! AMAZING!! I love their 120 night trial policy. That would put my mind at ease since it's so hard to find the perfect mattress isn't it?

  2. I prefer to do most of my shopping online as I can get better product knowledge through customer reviews. I can also comparison shop as well.

  3. If I can I would rather shop in store to be able to see the actual purchase but living in a small town limits me and I don't always have the time to drive 45 mins to get what I need. Shopping online helps me get what I want at better prices!

    1. I know what you mean! It's definitely convenient to be able to buy online and not have to run out to a store (or several stores, to make comparisons!)

  4. Very sorry to hear about your loss from smoke damage in your home. We had a house fire shortly before our daughter's 8th birthday many years ago and also lost a lot of possessions due to smoke & water damage. I LOVE that this mattress is made in Canada & is delivered in a maneuverable box! It looks really comfortable too, would love to have one!

  5. With all these online mattress companies these days, it is a miracle that bedding stores are still in business. The next mattress I buy (hopefully not too son!) will be online!
