Family Portraits (My Younger Sister's Family)

I have two younger sisters. I posted Hilary's family's photos a couple of years ago, and her new baby's newborn photos earlier this year.

This month I got together with my other sister (Amber)'s family and took a few family photos.
Here are a few of my favourites:

Our whole family went to a park, so the girls were off to the side, playing in the leaves, while Ken tried to get our little niece to smile.  So much fun :)

How cute are these little "siblings"?

I love how thrilled Tori looks in this photo! :)

Family Portraits (Our Cousins)

I went out this morning to get a few photos of my brother & sister-in-law and my cute nephews. These are our only local (to our city) cousins and we love them so much! Betsy and I are close friends and it is SO NICE to have them so near us!

Here are a few of the shots that I've edited so far, from our session this morning:

I can't handle these adorable boys.  They are so sweet :)

Thanks for a fun morning at the park, you guys!  Hope you like your photos :)

Family Portraits (Our Cousins)

We had so much fun visiting our friend (Ken's cousin), Ted, and his family in Texas this month! We squeezed a little photo shoot in for them while we were there. Here's a peek at the photos we got:

I love this photo of Jessie & Lucy:

Having fun with dad. :)

Ted & Alyssa

I've known Ted since we were teenagers, but have only seen Alyssa 3 separate times- when they came to Canada for their wedding reception, 3 years ago when we visited their famiy, and again this Fall. I am so glad we've met- we always have fun hanging out together while Ted & Ken are busy doing guy things ;)

This is my favourite family photo of them :)

We did come out with a few other options though ;)

Adorable:

Sweet little 3 year old Lucy.

Love this family :) We already miss them and can't wait to see them again :)

Family Portraits (My Sister's Family)

My sister, Hilary, and her family were in town last month
(she lives in the U.S. and I LOVE it when her family comes back to Canada!)

We scheduled in some time to do family portraits while she was here, and despite an injured toe (poor little Sierra!) and a wandering Brooklyn, we managed to get some keepers :)

I love this one of Sierra with her beautiful, wispy hair floating in the breeze, and that cute, real little smile on her face- busy with her own thoughts, not distracted by my camera :)

The adorable miss Brooklyn (she has grown so much since these!)

Still just as gorgeous as they were the day they were wed ;)

I'm glad we got the chance to do these :) Hope to see you guys again real SOON! :)

Mothers and Daughters (Heidi & Mary)

In May I did a Mothers & Daughters photography project.
I spent a morning shooting photos of 5 different moms and 9 daughters.

As I work my way through them, I'm posting a few photos on the blog of each mother & daughter.

Here are Heidi & her daughter Mary:

And here's a shot we got of Heidi with all 3 of her beautiful daughters:

Mothers and Daughters (Frieda & Grace)

Here are Frieda & her daughter Grace:

Grace is good friends with my girls. Frieda & I have known each other for a long time and are thrilled that we both have girls and can have little tea parties and princess playdates together. Grace and Katrina are in the same class at church together and nearly every week Katrina asks me if Gracie will be there.

When Katrina saw me working on these photos on the computer she said, "That's my Gracie!" :) We'll miss this family A LOT when they move soon!

I guess Grace had a good time with the photo shoot because when it was time to leave, she asked if they could stay and play with me some more. :)
