I saw this fun rain painting idea at Little Page Turners.
You'll Need:
- card stock
- Food colouring
- Rain (preferably not pouring)
Here we are, having fun!
A Tip: Beware the food colouring!!! (Katrina's coat let the colour drip right off, Talia's wasn't exactly a rain coat, so it stayed on hers- I threw it in the wash right away, and luckily saved it! So, I recommend being careful about where you hold the paper- for us, the rain was splattering the food colouring right up, onto their clothes!)
Check out Little Page Turners to see what they did with their finished product! Our's looks cool with all of the colours, but we haven't used it for anything yet! :)
I have been an awful blog friend. Summer is killing me. Two more weeks until school starts! Thanks for setting my up with CSN for my first giveaway.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the rain art! If it ever rained here in the desert that would be fun!
Ooo, fun! Wish I heard about this last week! I wonder how "hail art" would have worked out ... it might have gotten a few holes :)
ReplyDeleteWe are expecting rain tonight. This would be fun to try.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a neat idea! Love the pic of the two of them together. =)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the linky love! Definitely works better in a gentle rain than in the downpour we attempted. (I love that we all seem to have a plastic molded picnic table in our backyards.) Great pictures! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea. Thanks for the warning too!
