For Talia's 8th Birthday Party we went with a rainbow polka dot theme. I had seen people do gum ball party favours for rainbow parties before, so I decided to do my own version of it.
I went to the dollar store and found a bag of different coloured gum balls and bought some little bags (also at the dollar store) that happened to be the perfect width to fit 6 gum balls. I made a little bag tag to staple onto the top of the bag and got to work!
First I filled each bag with 6 gum balls in order of the rainbow. Then I sealed the bag, pushing any air out of it. Next, I rolled the bag down from the top so that there wouldn't be a lot of empty bag showing when I was finished.
Next I printed the bag topper and folded it in half. I fit that over the bag (covering the folded part of the bag) and stapled it closed on each end. Et voila! (You can download the bag tag/bag topper for your own use if you'd like!)
The favours turned out so cute & I was really happy with them!
I'm including a free printable in case you want to try these yourself :)
Thanks you, awesome!
ReplyDeleteI just realized you should have said "Thank you for gumming to my party!"
ReplyDeleteVery cute idea. I like simple things for parties so I don't get too overwhelmed.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to Tip Me Tuesday linky party this week Heather Lynne. {knuckle bumps} Did you know that I can "lend" your blog posts my Google page rank for better search engine traffic? {fabulous} If you upload at least 2 images, 2 steps, and blog post URL into your Tip Junkie craft room, you'll be in business! {wink} ~ Laurie {a.k.a. the Tip Junkie}
