Get-To-Know-You Jenga |
How to Make Your Get-to-Know-You Jenga Game:
You'll need the following:
A Jenga game (I found a smaller, $3 version at a dollar store)
A marker
A list of get-to-know-you questions or prompts (see below)
...and that's it!
Just write the prompts on the wood pieces and have the players answer the question on the piece they remove on their turn.
It added some extra excitement to do the regular old Jenga game with questions- it just spiced it up enough to have the girls more excited, AND gave them the opportunity to learn about each other in a fun way.

Fun!! I love it when you "go beyond" the intended game and make it more of a game to have conversations! :D That way it is so much better to get to know people!!
ReplyDelete:D
Thanks Jen :)
DeleteBrilliant!
ReplyDeleteThank you Leslie! :)
DeleteDo you put the questions on all the 54 blocks?

ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant but easy idea, I might use this with Girl Guides, thanks.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome- I hope you can use it! :)

ReplyDeleteOh my what a absolutely great idea! My now son in law made 2X4 jenga pieces for their outdoor engagement party. On the pieces he put trivia about himself & our daughter. It was a big hit at the BBQ.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! I had a "cousin-in-law" who had a giant Jenga game at his reception! :) I don't think it involved trivia though- that's a good idea!
DeleteEspecially for tween girls who may not want to tell much about themselves, this is a great way for them to share about who they are with others.
ReplyDeleteThis is so fun! I am thinking about using this in my classroom, but with like, math questions or something :p
ReplyDeleteI love that idea! :)
DeleteThis is such a great idea! I love jenga, but this is even better!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness.. I love this idea. I am a life coach and do group classes. I am going to do something like for my class. LOVE, LOVE this..
ReplyDeleteThis would be a great one for youth group or for Sunday school! I think I'll save this for the start of the new year!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you found this game at the dollar store because I just bought it from Amazon and thought I got a deal paying 9.60 + tx. Now I feel like I lost my bargain but I'll know for the future because I bought it and many other toys for a Christmas charity that I donate to every year. Live and learn !
ReplyDeleteDebbie, you probably got the regular version of Jenga. The one I bought at the dollar store is a mini version (it works fine, but it's not the "real thing").
DeleteThis is such a fun idea! My mother in law was just talking about wanting to do a game like this for Christmas. I will share with her!
