Masking Sticker Cord Labels & the Dreaded Outlet Octopus

I found this adorable idea from Landee See, Landee Do.

See her cute washi tape cord labels?

I knew this would be the perfect project for the masking sticker set that I recently got from my sponsor, Wholeport.

Here's what you need for this project:

- Masking Stickers (or Washi Tape)
- Scissors
- Marker
- cords that need labeling ;)

Just write your labels on your stickers, tape them around the cords, trim the ends to finish the look and you're done!

But, before I leave you, a word about the above photo. You'll notice that although my labels are cute, my cord organization is NOT. I included this attractive photo of my bedroom cords because this morning I went on a field trip with my daughter's second grade class. It was all about fire safety, and the children were taught about the "outlet octopus". What you see above, my friends, is an outlet octopus. After seeing what a burnt outlet octopus (with only 3 plugs plugged into it) looks like after a house fire that it caused, I will be investing in a power bar to put beside my night table, instead of the attractive little octopus that now shares a room with us. I thought you'd appreciate this little reminder incase you have an octopus residing in your home. ;)
